The [  Sensors ] menu allows you to make adjustments of the sensors available on the room-manager

[ Thermometer ] Menu

[ Scale ] Allows you to choose between Celsius scale or Fahrenheit scale.

[ Temp   20.0°C   ] Calibration of the temperature sensor. You can adjust the calibration of the temperature sensor compared to the place you would generally stay in the room (for example on the sofa).

Wait until the room-manager have been on for at least an hour before making a calibration so that its temperature can be stabilized.

Measure the temperature on the place of reference (using an other thermometer), then adjust using the right and left arrow keys until the displayed temperature is as close as possible to the temperature of the reference thermometer.

[ Light Sensor ] Menu

The light sensor measures the ambient light and also includes a twilight detection necessary for the applications which make the difference between the day and the night.

[ Twilight Detection ]

Dawn and dusk are detected within two defined periods, before and after the night-time.

This method is used to avoid the error of detection if the room is dark because of the climatic conditions outside these detection periods.

Install the room-manager safe from direct night lighting so that the twilight detection can measure the natural ambient luminosity. In the case or an artificial light (for example a lighting of night) prevents the sensor from detecting fallen the night or to raise it sun, the detection of twilight will be based on the night-time.

If several room-managers are installed in the same house, that which detects first the twilight condition will inform other room-managers. Thus all the room-managers will be synchronized to enter or exit the night time together.

[Light level indicator]

Displays the level of ambient light. The light indicator is temporarily put on hold each time a key is pressed; therefore the light indicator reflects correctly the ambient light before you touch any key.

[Detect. twilight] Allows to adjust the level of luminosity for the twilight detection.

[Night time] to define the night-time period.

[Detection period] to define the twilight detection period before and after the night-time (twilight period).

[ Motion Sensor ] Menu

This menu allows you to make adjustments for the motion-sensor.

[Histogram of the detected peaks of movement.]

From right to left: over each 6 seconds since the last 3 minutes, over each 3 minutes since the last hour, and over each hour since the 24 last hours.

A green level (below the horizontal line) means that the motion levelis below the detection level during this section of time.

A yellow or red level means that movement is detected during this section of time. (The red level is in logarithmic scale.)

[ Detect level ][  ------------o-------------   ]

You can adjust the detection level by sliding the cursor to the right and to the left. A red cursor means that presence is currently detected, a green cursor means that the signal does not exceed the detection level.

[ Sensitivity ][  ------------o-----------------  ]

The sensitivity adjustment can be used to adapt the motion detection to the volume of the room in which the room-service is installed. In general, the larger the room, the higher the sensitivity level must be adjusted.

[ Occupancy delay ]

This delay is used to prevent the detection of short movements (somebody passes in front of the door) that causes mode-change from one of the absence modes (“absent” or “holidays”) towards the mode “present”. During this delay, the movement must remain detected before the mode switch to present mode. Consequently, once you returned to the house, the switch to “present” mode will be done only after this delay. The automatic lighting management is not affected by this delay, so you may have the lights immediately.

 Cancel Save   ]

The right key saves the modifications to the motion-detection.

[ Presence sensor ] Menu

This menu allows you to make adjustments to the presence sensor. The presence sensor analyzes the air disturbance when somebody is present in the room. This detection, as weak as it might be, is discernible compared to the disturbances generated by draughts or other natural disturbances.

In a room, you must install the room-manager close to the head of the bed so that it can detect the presence of somebody who sleeps on it. For example, you can install the room manager on a bedside table (Daisy model) or above the head board (Wally model).

[ Histogramme of presence sensor]

This histogram represents the detected peaks. From right to left: over each 6 seconds since the last 3 minutes, over each 3 minutes since the last hour, and over each hour since the 24 last hours.

A green level (below the horizontal line) means that the level of presence is below the level of detection during this section of time.

A yellow or red level means that the presence is detected during this time.

[ Detect level ][  ------------o-------------  ]

You can adjust the detection level by sliding the cursor to the right and to the left. A red cursor means that presence is currently detected, a green cursor means that the signal does not exceed the detection level.

[ Sensitivity ][  ------------o-----------   ]

The sensitivity adjustment can be used to adapt the presence detection with regards to the volume of the room in which the room-manager is installed. In general, the larger the room, the higher the detection level must be set.
